To behead, or not to behead...

Tower of London was built in the 11th century and some of it still stands today. Queen Anne Boleyn was beheaded here in 1536. The last hangings took place in 1780 on Tower Hill where I was standing when taking this shot. The grassy area was where the moat was which was filled by the Themes which flows very close by. Tower Bridge is just down the way.

Hey look kids...

...there's Big Ben, and there's Parliament.

Tower Bridge

After a rough, busy start to the London office visit, me, Tom and Gary were able to cut out a few hours early today and see some sights. Gary (my counterpart in London) was very kind to be our tour guide. Tom's goal was to see Buckingham Palace...done. My goal was to see Big Ben...check. Gary's tour included many more famous sites which were accompanied by his knowledgeable commentary.

Shoreditch

This was taken from the front entrance of the hotel in the Shoreditch area of London. It stopped raining, but regardless there are many cyclists and motor bikers...so much so that I felt it worth mentioning there are many, rain or not.

Heathrow

Once I landed and made it out to the car service I noticed this squad car. BMWs, Mercedes Benzs, Ford Fiestas and Volvos seem very popular vehicles here. You always know they drive on the left and the wheel is on the right, but until I saw it in person it was just an oddity to me.
